The contents of our minds shall be the subject of discussion in this essay. Regardless of how hard we attempt to conceal who we are on the inside, it appears that our true selves are revealed to the outside world. You have likely heard of people wearing their hearts on their sleeves. This is because the feelings that are contained within our hearts are quite profound. It doesn’t matter if you are the best actor or actress in the world; if you are experiencing pain on the inside, you are in a poor emotional state. You may try to hide your discomfort by smiling or laughing, but the truth is that the agony is still present. It is not possible to make that pain go away by using alcohol or drugs; what happens is that it simply comes back once the narcotic is no longer in the system. A person who is taking antidepressants will also be required to take their medication consistently. How come? mostly because the heart itself, as well as the contents that are contained within every person on this planet, is never addressed. God refers to individuals who honor Him verbally but who do not have a deep connection to Him in their hearts. All of us are aware of what is going on inside of us. We may choose to flee from who we are. to immerse ourselves in a variety of addictions to separate ourselves from our true selves. On the other hand, if we want to get past whatever sorrow may be present in our lives, we need to confront who we truly are.
Before my dear mother went away, she told my wife and I that it is time to move on. She said this to us before she passed away. Those statements were extremely difficult to hear, but they continue to ring true even now, as I am reminded of them whenever I think about the days that I spent with her before she passed away. I had the option of continuing to be in the emotional state of numbness that I was in during her final days on earth, or I could have decided to proceed with the process of retaining all of the wonderful memories of my mother in my heart and making the most of the remaining time that God has given me this world. It was down to me to decide. Even though it was a challenging decision, I feel that it is one that every one of us must make to come to terms with who we are. I would be too preoccupied with concentrating on myself if I chose to remain in a condition of numbness and deal with it by working excessively or withdrawing from all activities. It would be impossible for me to get back the time I would have spent with my wonderful wife and daughter, and I would miss out on the opportunity to do so.
Examine the person that you are on the inside. Discuss the suffering with someone you can rely on, and then move on with your life. You are capable of doing it. If you want to be the very best that you can be, you have no choice but to carry it out. Decide to avoid dwelling on the past because doing so may cause you to miss out on the very future that God has in store for you.
