Breaking Away from Tradition: My Journey Toward Modern Freedom
For a long time, I was told that the only way to live meaningfully was by following certain religious rules, rituals, and traditions — things people called the Sunnah or spiritual paths. But as I grew older, I began to question everything. I saw how these systems often limited individuality, self-expression, and personal freedom. Instead of helping me, they made me feel trapped.
Religion vs. Reality
Many people find peace in faith, and that’s fine for them. But for me, those teachings brought confusion and guilt rather than peace. I realized that much of what is taught as “religious truth” often reflects human interpretation, not divine command. Over centuries, people added rules and rituals that no longer make sense in the modern world.
I saw how certain groups use religion to control others — telling them how to dress, what to think, and even how to feel. The idea of visiting shrines, following saints, or adhering strictly to religious customs seemed disconnected from real human progress. I wanted to live freely, guided by reason, compassion, and personal experience — not by fear or tradition.
Choosing Freedom and Rational Thought
Freedom, for me, means living with honesty — making choices based on my and my family freedom , not inherited beliefs. It means questioning everything, even the ideas that have been considered sacred for generations. Modern life offers endless opportunities: science, technology, art, and critical thinking — tools that empower humanity far more than rigid dogmas ever did.
